Welcome to Week 8 of the Cloud Nine Quilt blog, the Baton Rouge quilt block!

The Baton Rouge quilt block is another uneven 5-patch block, with a pinwheel design in the centre, split by a narrow cross.

Once again, I have used my “ping” fabric, and this block is made with half-square triangles (HSTs), squares, and rectangles.

If you are making any (or all) of these Cloud Nine Quilt blocks, please upload photos to my Instagram board – @poppypatchworkprojects.
I’d love to see your quilt block creations! πŸ’•

The measurements and instructions for making this block will be available in my YouTube video, to be released later today, 25 February 2024.

The Baton Rouge quilt block will be positioned in the top center of the finished quilt as shown.

Keep going … we have almost finished the quilt blocks for the Cloud Nine Quilt!
